Maxwell`s in Apple Valley

Love Love Love this place. Best burgers! Gyros are great too. Salsa bar is a nice plus. Prices are affordable and portions surprisingly ample.

Would definitely recommend trying this place out. Best burgers in the high desert hands down!

I have some good childhood memories from here. Customer service could be better. Do love their burgers. I live in Victorville now so I don’t find us coming here as often.

I guess this local spot has been here for about 15 years and I've never been fortunate enough to hear of it until now. Thank you Google for finding me a new burger spot =]] I tried my first gyro, the daily deal was too good to pass. $8.95 plus tax for the gyro, a drink and onion rings (I subbed zucchini), a great buy; this thing was huge. Mary was super helpful with her recommendations. Got my husband the bacon burger, & holy bacon! Attached is a photo of the burger so you could see the tremendous amount of bacon inside, great buy for the amount of meat inside. This burger rang up $5.25 plus tax, no cheese. The zucchini was quite good, fried perfectly. The ranch included was a little runny but tasty. We will definitely be back to try more items from their giant menu!

Maxwells is great! Local and homey feel. I always got the bacon cheeseburger with onion rings on the side, never failed me! I have since moved away but Maxwells was always an Apple Valley staple.

The food was OK & took a long time. It wasn't very cool inside , but there were a lot of customers in and out because of the Summer Burnout carshow. There were only 3 people on staff at the time. I had the gyro & the meat was awesome (tender & seasoned well), tsetziki sauce & pita were good as well! The Chicago dog was rough. (it was edible, but nothing close - on a griddled sesame seed bun, 2 beef hot dogs, rough-chopped tomatoes, diced red onions, wavy, dill pickle chips & yellow mustard... No poppy seeds, not steamed, no sport pepper, no neon green relish, no celery salt.)

Best food in highdesert

I came in today ... Started off nicely but my order came out and my bread was dry and cold right off the package. Fries are gold but everything else is horrible..don't come here the heavy set lady at the front would even tell me her name ..no name tag ...burger was just cold and dry. Pastrasmi was very good tho. Chilli bean smells and tastes like Mr clean .regular burger special was real good ...thank you Amanda for the great service ..she made the experience better .

Very good, whenever I visit apple valley I always eat here. I had corn beef and cabbage today was excellent

This is an absolutely fantastic place to dine in. The customer service is amazing, and they have a variety of great options to try from including vegetarian dishes. It's a very relaxing environment...great for a date or family gathering. You also get a bang for your buck as well. Definitely stop by and try them out!

This was our first time trying this place. We placed an order for pick up. We’re 5 min away and when my husband got home with the food it was horrible. The hamburger was cold, not warm, cold. The tomatoes looked like they were old or could have been that it was frozen beforehand. The turkey ham from the club sandwich looked the same as the tomatoes, falling apart and old. The fried zucchini had a nasty taste and smell, they were either not cooked through or had gone bad. Onion rings the same not cooked through. He couldn’t eat any of it, $20+ to the trash. He had to eat cereal at home. Very upset and disappointed. Will never go back. I would give them no 👎 stars.

Great little burger joint with a big selection of items to choose from. Like I had the chicken wrap which was delicious and really big which is what I look for when it comes to that. Great onion rings also. I give them two thumbs way up.

Owner is a great guy the burgers are equally so. Great customer service. Been here twice. Once for the Gyro the next being for the Burger. Both of which did not disappoint. The burger is quite possibly one of the best I've ever had.

Very good veggie sandwich ! Provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, avocado and optional onion on whole wheat bread. Well, the bread is hardly real ''whole'' wheat, but still pretty good. The provolone cheese could be a little higher quality, and I'd payj an extra Dollar for it. Especially, if it's smoked provolone. Yummy avocado and real ''ripe'' tomato, generously piled on. I think I'll add silk pickle next time !

This place is absolutely HORRIBLE from their dirty kitchen to the rude cook and very rude owner they treat their hosts very badly. I’ve seen their workers walk out because of how rude they were being to them! You could hear them yelling at them in the kitchen. It was very dirty. They have molded hamburger buns. Sometimes the vegetables taste like they’ve gone sour. I seen them drop something onto the floor then pick it up and reuse/reserve it. Very unsanitary they need to be shut down!!!!

Amazing. Best food in a long time

Really tasty food, with a wide variety of dishes to choose from. Decor is homey, and small but not crowded. Servers were prompt and attentive, and food didn't take too long to come out.

May need some updating and maintenance but don't let the looks fool you. The gyro is delish and they give you so many fresh cut fries you can't eat them all. Avoid the cookie cutter Mexican restaurant and try a taste of Chicago. You won't regret it.

Maxwell's Burgers is a wonderful establishment. They make some great sandwiches, burgers and salads, portions are huge (I recommend you share with a friend). Prices are on the high side, but for the amount of food you really can't go wrong. Staff are friendly and do their best to take care of you. Recently they have added a decadent dessert case. Call your orders in ahead of time and if it is a salad or similar dish consider asking for it split into two containers. Never a disappointment since 2011.

Went with a group of six. Waitress was incredibly rude, she tried taking an order without writing it down and had to go grab paper and retake the order halfway through. Had attitude and didn't even let us finish speaking before cutting us off. They got my order wrong and I asked them to take it back and that I didn't want it anymore... they then brought me out my correct order after everyone was done eating, and I sent it back again. Worst is, they tried charging me for the order even though I didn't touch it. When I refused, they told me to go through the kitchen and talk to the manager, because the manager was to lazy to come out and actually talk to me. Kitchen was disgusting, no one was wearing gloves, and it was incredibly dirty... makes me happy I didn't eat my food haha.Avoid!!

I'm not reviewing the food I'm just reviewing my stay. Friendly people they leave you be. Came in and grabbed Coke sat down... conducted my business then I left... can't say a 5 I haven't tried the food but a 4 should get you by...

Food was Good pastrami was a lil warm not hot, thick pieces burger was good chili fries were fine not a fan of this type if fry style for chil fries so swayed my vote . I did eat all, so guess was good enough lol cook and owner sat down after I started eating . He was friendly and seems to know the regulars .

I love how Max brought the taste of Chicago to Cali. Takes me back home as i sit there enjoying my big plate of gyro. Very generous with their servings. Great good!!!

Dirty workplace, serving old vegetables to guests just cutting off the molded parts. Chicken is out of safety zone temperatures. And cross contaminated practices take place.
